Skales v12.9.46 - Mend

Small things that add up. Skales Local shows GPU only when the graphics card really does the work, and names the reason when it does not. Every local model carries its own context and GPU-layer setting.

Skales v12.9.46 is here, bringing a set of focused improvements and fixes to make your desktop AI experience smoother. This release prioritises stability and usability, addressing issues that arose in our previous update.

Windows Update Fixes

We've resolved an issue on Windows where updates could get stuck. This was caused by older versions writing files with very long names into the program folder, which the uninstaller couldn't handle. The installer now cleans these files first, and Skales removes any unneeded files on startup. Updates will also no longer install into the program folder.

Chat Stability

You'll notice that completed answers in the chat now stay on screen, even if the agent moves on to the next step. Ollama users will also see their thinking processes remain visible. We've also improved how backup imports report errors and calmed down background animations on integrated graphics.

Flow Motion Enhancements

Flow has been given more room to breathe. Collage and Skales Visuals can now start without needing an image service. We've also added the ability to author free GSAP compositions alongside the standard engine, with clearer controls and explanations in the inspector. The browser view in chat now shows agent step images with the target marked before each click.

The same light reached the rest. Flow is a canvas you can pan, zoom and queue work onto, where clicking an element edits the file behind it. Chat and Code work on your own servers over SSH, write Word and PowerPoint, and put every file where you say. Updates Sep 23, 2026 Skales v12.9.35 - Roles We've once again cut token spending: an ordinary turn now sends about 45% fewer input tokens on desktop and more than half fewer on mobile, a simple greeting 70–80% fewer, and Skales Code and Flow start 40–50% lighter, with the same answers as before. An idle Skales window also does about a third less work.
